Before You Sign

Paying for a website is an investment, and a little due diligence before handing over a deposit can save a lot of frustration later. Here are four questions worth asking any agency first.

1. What exactly is included in this price?

Ask for a clear list: number of pages, number of design revisions, whether the price includes both the English and Arabic versions if needed, and what happens if you want something added later. A vague answer here is a warning sign.

2. What is the realistic delivery timeline?

Ask for a specific estimate — for example, around three weeks for a Starter site or a month and a half for an e-commerce site — and what could cause that timeline to change. A company that can't give you a rough number hasn't properly scoped your project yet.

3. Who will own the website once it's finished?

Make sure you understand who holds the domain, hosting, and source files after the project is delivered. You should walk away owning your own website, not renting access to it indefinitely.

4. Is there a payment plan if I need one?

If paying the full amount upfront is difficult, ask directly whether installments are available. Some agencies, including Graphex LB, offer a 12-month installment plan so the cost doesn't have to be paid all at once.

If an agency hesitates or gets vague when you ask these questions directly, that's worth paying attention to before you commit any money.
